Gaerte Engines recommends Brad Penn Oil For Your Race Car

Brad Penn oil is specially formulated to provide added protection. In addition to temperature and load protection, Brad Penn – Penn Grade racing oils can reduce foaming and lessen thermal breakdown. The selection of a racing oil should also be based on the intended application AND compatibility with gasoline and full or partial alcohol fuels.

Gaerte racing engines require specially formulated engine oils to ensure proper protection under extreme conditions. High horsepower is needed for success on the track. Increasing HP results in higher operating temperatures and engine loading. These conditions are much more severe than a typical passenger car engine would experience.

Passenger car oils generally have the API (American Petroleum Institute) Certification Mark, also known as the “Starburst.” This mark signifies the oil meets current engine protection standards and fuel economy requirements. It does not indicate acceptance for racing conditions. Conventional engine oils are not recommended for Gaerte Engines. Today’s passenger car engine oils are not designed for racing applications.
